  • Capability Building component
    1. Entrepreneurs, start ups and established businesses can apply for a grant to employ a business mentor (maximum NZTE contribution $3,000 GST inclusive)
    2. Undertake advanced management or technology-based training (maximum NZTE contribution $3,000 GST inclusive)
    3. Engage specialised external advice and expertise on well-defined projects or concepts that lead towards enhanced capability, profitability and international competitiveness
    4. Undertake some market development activities.

  • Market Development component: Businesses can apply for assistance with the implementation of significant international market development initiatives including expenditure related to:
    1. Market visits
    2. In-market representation
    3. Advertising and promotion
    4. Marketing materials
    5. Trade fairs and events
    6. Market research.

  • The Growth Services Fund grants from New Zealand Trade and Enterprise.
      See: http://www.nzte.govt.nz/section/11964.aspx offers support for high growth potential firms to purchase external advice, expertise, and market development services. The Growth Services Fund is accessible only for companies who: have been identified as having clear and significant growth potential and for whom a development plan has been compiled by Client Services staff. The fund is intended to assist with new initiatives and new directions aimed at having a significant impact on the business leading to substantial, sustained growth. Co-funding of up to 50% will be offered by NZTE.


  • Enterprise Networks programme from from New Zealand Trade

Enterprise qualifying groups of businesses can receive assistance to build business capability and/or undertake international market development activity. An Enterprise Network is a group of three or more New Zealand companies co-operating strategically to increase their earnings by building capability and/or targeting specific international opportunities. All members must be New Zealand tax registered companies with no common ownership. Each company retains its separate identity and owner control, while gaining the benefits of critical mass and scale.
